Golden Camelina Oil:

Understand KAP technology: The hair fiber is basically composed of Keratin, and it was always believed that the replenishment of this protein would be sufficient to repair damage caused by physical and chemical processes. However, over the years, studies deepened and found that the hair structure is much more complex: in addition to various types of Keratin, there are other proteins associated with it, called KAPs (Keratin Associated Proteins). These proteins surround Keratin and can be divided into 3 groups: - Ultra-High and High Sulfur KAPs: They have a very high number of amino acids with sulfur. This sulfur binds to Keratin, greatly increasing hair strength and cohesion between proteins. The hair fiber becomes rigid and can break. - Low Sulfur KAPs: They have a low number of amino acids with sulfur. For this reason, they are not bound to Keratin. Since they are loose, they become susceptible to damage. They are the first proteins to be attacked and removed during processes such as bleaching, coloring, and straightening. Low Sulfur KAPs are responsible for promoting strength, flexibility, and natural movement of the hair. The hair fiber does not become rigid and, therefore, there is no risk of breakage.
