What is Decongex Plus Syrup used for?
Decongex Plus is a medication indicated for adults and children over 2 years of age. Its formulation consists of a fast-acting nasal decongestant and an antihistamine, which control and reduce symptoms related to flu, colds, rhinitis, and sinusitis (a disease affecting the cavities around the nose) (allergic or not), in addition to reducing excess mucus (runny nose).
How do I use Decongex Plus Syrup?
Adults:
1 to 1 1/2 measuring cups (10 to 15 mL), 3 to 4 times a day.
Children over 2 years old:
1/4 to 1/2 measuring cup (2.5 to 5 mL), 4 times a day.
Maximum daily dosage limited to 60 mL.

When should I not use Decongex Plus Syrup?
Decongex Plus is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to any of the components of its formula.
Decongex Plus is contraindicated in patients with heart problems, severe high blood pressure, severe coronary artery disease (serious circulatory disorders of the heart muscle), cardiac arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms), glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye), hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland), and/or other circulatory disorders. It is also contraindicated for people with diabetes and abnormally enlarged prostate.
This medication is contraindicated for children under 2 years of age.
