Tâmisa 20® (gestodene + ethinylestradiol) is a combined oral contraceptive. Each tablet contains a combination of two female hormones, gestodene (progestogen) and ethinylestradiol (estrogen). Due to the low concentrations of both hormones, Tâmisa 20® (gestodene + ethinylestradiol) is considered a low-dose oral contraceptive.

Other features unrelated to pregnancy prevention: Combined contraceptives reduce the duration and intensity of menstrual bleeding, decreasing the risk of iron deficiency anemia. Menstrual cramps may also become less intense or disappear completely.
